All about

What is Omnishop?

Omnishop is a “service as a service” mobile app builder that can publish your store to the Apple and Android marketplace with a simple “no-code for you” setup process. Perfect for non-technical Ecommerce teams that don’t need to manage their mobile app directly, but know that having one can increase retention and Lifetime Value (LTV).

You simply select your plan, meet with them to talk over your functionality requirements, give them API access to your store (Shopify, Magento, etc.), and in a short time, they will have your mobile app live in the Apple and Android stores.

For any additional functionalities, such as adding a personalization integration, review integration, etc., you may need to pay an additional setup fee.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

What makes Omnishop different than competitors?

All other players in this space require some amount of work from you (the brand) to get setup, start running, and for maintenance. For other providers, you often have to bring in developers, designers, and do a bit of coordination work. With Omnishop, it’s the opposite. You can’t manage your own backend, which simplifies things, but limits flexibility.

They also have a quick add-on service to help optimize your listing on Apple and Android with premium screenshots, mobile mock-ups, and a detailed description. And they will also help you with building out a marketing strategy for promoting the app(s) and getting adoption of the app(s).

What metrics is Omnishop going to improve for my Ecommerce store?

Omnishop is designed to increase repeat purchases and retention by giving a smooth mobile shopping experience, with faster loading pages and an overall better mobile shopping experience, coming through the mobile app. This leads of course to higher lifetime value (LTV) and an overall stronger brand connection with your customers.

Who has to manage Omnishop and how long does it take to setup?

Typically it will be your head of marketing or you as the CEO/founder pushing to create a mobile app and improve the mobile experience. Aside from a couple of meetings with their team, Omnishop is doing literally all of the work for you when it comes to setup, launch, and maintenance of your mobile app.

There is one important thing that you have to do: Market the app. You need to adjust your email flows, post-purchase sequences, campaigns, etc., in order to get your existing customer base downloading and using the mobile app.

Note: Prospective customers can download the app, but for most brands you are really only going to be getting 95%+ existing customers to download and use the app.

Is Omnishop right for my store?

Omnishop is for retention-oriented brands who want to build loyalty and get their repeat customers a stronger user experience.

They are especially great for more static stores that don't need to change content, homepage layouts, or other components of the store regularly.

Mobile app builders tend to work best for engaging brands that have a sort of unique connection to their audience and want to see that engagement happen over and over again inside a unique branded mobile app.

Mobile app builders aren’t ideal for small and starting stores, as you need customers to get onboarded into the mobile app to make the magic happen. They aren’t for “pass-through” brands or one-time purchase type businesses. You will see less adoption in B2B Ecommerce.

Omnishop can work for medium, large, high-growth, and enterprise brands, but only if you are fine not having the flexibility and control over your own back-end experience. If you, for instance, have a person that you want to be dedicated to managing the mobile apps yourself, or if you have your own developers and designers and want to do a bunch of custom work yourself (not sure exactly why you’d want to bloat your costs, but to each their own), then Omnishop is not for you.
